The little ski area situated above Vals in Italy's South Tyrol, has only 20 kilometers of trails, and yet it performed very well in most of our test categories. Three black runs that lead all the way back down to the base and parts of which are extremely steep and challenging, await more experienced skiers and snowboarders. Beginners and families can spend their time in the gigantic practice area at the base and on the gentle slopes off the two chairlifts higher up the mountain. The upcoming merger will also be an enrichment – increasing the kilometers of trails to 45 and possibly improving the evaluation scores.
