Snowboarders who enjoy groomed slopes can basically expect the same as skiers. More advanced boarders will appreciate the three black runs coming off the upper terminal of the Jochtal gondola and leading back to Vals. Beginners are somewhat better served with the gigantic practice area opposite the base terminal in Vals. Freestylers will search in vain for a terrain park or even a single halfpipe. Freeriders will find some good off-piste at the very top of the mountain next to the two chairlifts. Lower down the mountain the trees will get in your way.
