The Vals 3000 ski area on the Dachberg mountain extends to around 3,000 metres and is thus one of the highest in Graubünden. The 8-seater gondola lift takes you up to the 1,817-metre-high Gadastatt. From there, three T-bar lifts take you up to 3,000 metres. Once at the top, you will not only have great pistes at your disposal, but also a unique panoramic view of the Eastern Alps with the Bernina massif and the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks.

The slopes themselves offer different levels of difficulty for all levels of ability. The widest range is available to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Several red marked slopes start at the highest point at 3,000 metres. Beginners, returners and families with children, on the other hand, use the blue marked downhill run to Gadastatt. For real experts, the two black marked variants, which run parallel to the Faltschona lift, are worthwhile.

On the Gadastatt there is also the Kleinvalser Arena, where little skiers and older beginners can get used to the ups and downs of the mountain. On the practice slope they quickly learn to master their first turns.
