Snow safe resort at 1810 – 2941 meters!

The wonderful location of the resort in one of the valleys of the „Bündner Oberlands“ (Surselva) makes a ski vacation far from masstourism possible. This advantage however has the price of an extremely curvy drive from „Ilanz“ on. „Vals“ can be reached most easily via the autobahn „A 13“. Exit the autobahn a few kilometers southwest of „Chur“ (Exit“Reichenau“ (18)) and take the federal highway 19 towards „Flims“/“Laax“/ „Disentis“. After about 25 kilometers on the highway you have to take a turn towards „Vals“ in „Ilanz“. After a 20 kilometer journey you’ll reach the „Vals“ ski lift facilities. The parking area is loacted directly at the base area of the gondola which will take you from 1252 meters up hill to a level of 1810 meters. From there you can take one of the 4 t-bar-lifts up to a height of 2941 meters to then choose between 5 kilometers of easy (blue) runs, 15 kilometers of intermediate level (red) runs and 5 kilometers of difficult (black) skiable terrain.
