Families with young children will feel on cloud nine at the “Walmendingerhorn, Kleinwalsertal” resort. Entering the valley, one children's area with cute figures and beginner-friendly obstacle courses chases the next. Particularly the ski lift facilities between “Hirschegg” (1124 m) and “Mittelberg” (1215 m) are perfect practice terrain for inexperienced and young skiers. Parents, who are planing to drop their kids off at the local ski schools and kindergardens to get some alone ski time, we recommend the slopes around the “Walmendingerhorn”, as you can easily reach the base area ski lift facilities via a connection slope branching from the base area descent (Nr.1b) (you’ll have to cover a few meters push-wise). At the “Walmendingerhorn” parents will find 12 kilometers of red (intermediate) runs and a great panorama view platform. The ropeway gondola will take you to this platform, where you can get a soaring panorama view of the “Allgäu” mountains and of the “Kleinwalsertal”. Should the youngsters already have some experience on skis, it’s no problem to take them to the “Walmendingerhorn” and spend the day on the slopes together.
