In particular on weekends, when the neighboring resort “Kleinwalsertal Fellhorn-Kanzelwand” is usually overcrowded, the 12 kilometers of skiabele terrain of predominantely intermediate level at the “Walmendingerhorn” is a great option for athletic and skilled skiers. If you are not into chasing kilometres on the slope, you’ll feel as snug as a bug in a rug at the “Walmendingerhorn” resort. Once you’ve reached the summit of the “Walmendingerhorn” via the ropeway gondola and have taken the first run, the 2-and 4-passenger chair lift will take you back up to the peak. Particularly the runs and skiing routes around the 4-passenger chair lift “Muttelberg” (II) are great fun and definitely challenge even skilled skiers and riders. Should you be looking for a longer run, you’ll have to stick to the valley descent Nr. 1b., which optionally offers a category black side-slope. This section of the base area descent is not only black, but pitch black. The partly ungroomed slope is definitely only recommendable with enough snow around in the lower regions of the mountain. The ski lift facilities down to the bases can easily be left to the beginners.
