Snow guaranteed in Warth Schröcken at the Arlberg

The skiing area Warth Schröcken is situated at the Arlberg, in the west of Austria, only one hour travel time away from the „Bodensee“ or the german town Füssen/Reutte. Located in the heart of the „Bregenzer Wald“ the ski resort Warth Schröcken is called „Schneegarant“ (snow guarantor). This skiing region really deserves this name due to its altitude of 1290 till 2050 m above sea level. First of all expert skiers will be especially fond of the free-ride slopes mostly covered by huge amounts of snow. Warth Schröcken provides the winter tourists with 12 chair lifts and 4 t-bar lifts. These lift facilities reach a transport capacity of 28000 persons per hour. Some chair lifts in Warth Schröcken are even heated! As the name implies the ski resort can be entered at the two villages Warth (1494 m) and Schröcken (1269 m). From here 67 kilometres of slopes and ungroomed free-ride descents can be accessed. To reach the ski resort from the north west we recommend to use the highway A7 until you reach Memmingen/Germany. There you continue on the highway A96 till Lindau. Leave the highway there and continue on the road until you reach Dorbirn, Bödele, Bezau and finally Warth Schröcken. If you want to access the ski resort from the north east it is best to take the “Bundesstraße” (main road) B17 via Füssen or the B23 via Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Reutte (Austria). Attention: The B198 between Warth and Lech is closed the whole winter. Therefore accessing Warth from the south is impossible during winter)
