Visiting glacier ski resorts is normally not really among the main family leisure activities during their family vacation. But if the kids have basic knowledge in skiing there is nothing speaking against a family ski day at the Matterhorn-Glacier-Paradise. However we advise families not to take the gondola O3 (see trail map) to the Kleine Matterhorn (Little Matterhorn). As there at nearly 4000m the quite challenging trails Plateau Rosa (83) or Ventina (84) must be mastered. Considerably easier is leaving the gondola at the Trockener Steg and then using the Gandegg tow lift which takes you to the beautiful Gandegg trail (73). Unfortunately a kids park is not to be found. However the glacier-palace allows a breathtaking walk under the eternal ice.
