And finally: is Zermatt the best resort in the Alps? Well, what can certainly be said is that you’ll hardly find another resort in such a breathtaking surrounding as Zermatt at the “Matterhorn”. The very first ride up hill offers an unforgettable view of what is likely to be among the most impressive mountains in the world, the Matternhorn. On the other hand (ticket-) prices are so high they are unequalled in the Alps. ”Zermatt” however is definitely one of THE TOP resorts worldide. With its 313 (mostly highly demanding) kilometers of slope every skier, no matter which skill level, should be able to have a grand time. Heliskiing is offered only in Zermatt and the freeride options and the “Gravity Park” are definitely amongst the best you can find in Europe. A fun fact which especially snowboarders will be thrilled about. We definitely recommend skilled skiers to visit Zermatt at least once, it's a lifetime experience! And then decide for yourself whether you think it is the best resort in the Alps. To fully savour the wonderful resort “Zermatt” you’ll have to spend several days there.
