Welcome to the Grosser Arber

Ski like the world champions on the Grosser Arber's alpine World Cup run.

With a height of 1456 metres, the Grosser Arber is the
„Mount Blanc of the Bavarian Forest“.
Within four minutes the Gondola/chair-lifts take you up to just below the summit.
From this point there are runs of different lengths and degrees of difficulty which offer terrific views across the Bavarian and Bohemian Forests.

There is also the option of 5 km long descent down to the town of Bodenmais.

Schools for skiing, carving and snowboarding offer all types of training courses and special courses for children.
90 km of cross-country skiing trails are available at the cross-country skiing centres Bretterschachten and Scheibe.

The FIS race runs and the new World-Cup Run, which is also the training slope for the federal training center for alpine skiing LLZ, provide an opportunity for sport skiing and carving.
