Bionaz is a scarcely populated village in Valpelline, in the Valle de Aoste. It is a nordic ski resort with excellent tracks, all in all 10km of nicely groomed cross-country tracks. The other special winter sports activity is a combination of mountain climbing and skiing that is offered at Bionaz. This resort is more of an Olympic training area with special tracks. The area around Bionaz is untouched nature that is breathtakingly beautiful that is exceptional in this region. It is far from the masses of winter sports tourism and is a very different choice alltogether.
