Les Grands Montets - the largest ski area of Chamonix
Les Grands Montets is the largest and most famous area of the ski area Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.
The resort has the reputation of having some of the steepest and most difficult slopes within Europe.
Naturally, there is also a great number of wide and well groomed slopes for sportsmen at beginner and intermediate levels.
The higher skiing area of the resort, which has its highest point at 3300m above sea level, is situated within a glacier area, which makes it essential to take good care to stay on track at all time.
The north-facing slopes will not provide you with a great suntan however you can be sure that snowconditions are well-preserved until the end of season.
The divers and partly challenging slopes will provide a unique skiing adventure for anyone whilst especially the off-piste skiing opportunities seem to be unlimited.
