Châtel – a charming winter holiday destination not only for downhill fans!
Châtel itself offers 49 trails of all ability levels but as it functions also as one of the entrances to the Portes du Soleil snow fun is guaranteed and you can be sure that your feet will give in before the slopes do!
Châtel offers an abundance of alternate activities to alpine skiing such as ice-diving, snow-shoeing, ice-skating, toboggan and night-skiing. A highlight for all “air & style” devotees, no matter if one or two planks beneath the feet, is the terrain park featuring halfpipes and boardercross.
Unlike many ski resorts Châtel’s landscape is not dominated by architectural eyesores. The village has managed to retain the ambiance and architectural integrity of a traditional alpine village.
