Flachau - Mountains within easy reach – this winter 2009/2010

Skiing and snowboarding plus all the fun and events of a winter holiday in pristine snow Set at an altitude to virtually guarantee snow and total artificial snow covering on the pistes plus a full programme in the ski huts, then après-ski and night-life and events such as the Start Up in December (3rd - 6th December 2009), skiworld cup ladies night on 12th january 2010 or the Nightlife-Tour at the end of March 2010. Flachau at the center of the Ski Amadé in the Salzburger Land this winter 2008/2009 once again offers fun for the entire family snow perfect days. The mountain railways in the home of the Herminator Hermann Maier, set new standards for quality and service, the Boarder Park in Flachauwinkl has been extended once more, rent-a-ski and a large variety of ski schools are ready for takeoff, Floodlit-skiing, free-riding and half pipes complete the fun on the pistes. Illuminated toboggan runs, snowtubing and snow shoe walking gives variety to the activities in the mountains. The valley has a great deal to offer as well at an ideal altitude of roughly 1.000 meters. Cross-country-skiing along the Tauern cross-country-ski-run, horse sleigh rides and long walks through picturesque scenery – that brings romance to a winters day. Flachau, Salzburger Land, Austria – that’s mountains close at hand in any sense: Many airlines have Salzburg Airport listed in their winter flight plan 2009/2010, followed by a short ride on the bus shuttle – and one is in Flachau.
