The Ski Resort
Huff Hills Ski Area is located only 25 kilometers from Bismarck/Mandan, ND. With 32 hectares of skiable terrain it is North Dakota´s largest ski area. The 16 runs are designed for different levels of ability and served by 4 lifts: two double chairlifts, a T-bar and a handle tow. Huff Hills is a great area for families. There is a beginner area that features family-friendly terrain where the little ones can practice to ski and ride. Lessons are available from Huff Hills´ Ski Patrol members at no charge and served by a first-come, first-serve basis. Huff Hills Ski Area usually opens around the Thanksgiving weekend and is open until the second or third week in March.

- Snow coverage is usually best during January, offering an average base depth of 46 cm.
