Lake Louise - Canada´s Favourite Ski Area
The Lake Louise Ski Area delivers the most awe-inspiring panoramic views and memorable skiing and riding you will ever experience. Located in the heart of Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Lake Louise Ski Area is regularly rated the most scenic resort in North America. The Lake Louise Ski Area’s four mountain faces add up to 4,200 acres of skiable terrain covered in light, dry, champagne powder. It is the ski destination that people all over the world dream about visiting.
One of Lake Louise Ski Area’s most unique features is its layout: there are beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs down from every chairlift. The area is also known as the “Birthplace of Skiing” in the Canadian Rockies - Nearby Skoki Lodge first opened in 1930 and the region has been famous for its snowy slopes ever since. The Lake Louise Ski Area also offers an authentic, alpine atmosphere. Cozy up with a warm mulled wine and appetizers slopeside in the Powderkeg Lounge, or enjoy a signature Prime Rib BBQ Burger and ice-cold drinks in one of the many food and beverage facilities. Discover the Powder Bowls: A huge, 2,500-acre area that features wide-open skiing and some of the steepest pitches around, skiers navigate their way down “The Wall” and the “Ultimate Steeps.”
The Lake Louise Ski and Snowboard School, established in 1959, offers a wide variety of private and group lessons, first tracks and specialty programs. The nearby village of Lake Louise features a number of elegant culinary experiences and impressive wine lists at historical restaurants. The world-famous Banff town site is just 30 minutes away from the Resort. There you can discover shopping, hot springs, spas, snow shoeing, shopping, ice-skating, nightlife and much more. In Lake Louise, stay at the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, dine on award-winning cuisine and enjoy a starlit horse-drawn sleigh ride. Relax at the historic Post Hotel or choose from a variety of condominiums, located just minutes from the resort, at the Lake Louise Inn. A visit to The Lake Louise Ski Area is a true Canadian Rockies Experience.
