Lookout Pass: Enjoy One of Idaho´s oldest Ski Areas!
Lookout Pass´ history is going back to 1935 when there was only a hand made rope tow. Since then Lookout Pass has been operating every winter season. It is widely known for its abundant snowfall and great snow conditions. Today there are 218 hectares of skiable terrain stretching over the Idaho/Montana state line. Thus, you can ski two states on only one mountain! There are trails and slopes for everyone. However, Lookout Pass puts an emphasis on being a family friendly resort. This includes affordable prices, easy access and, above all, a Free Ski School Program.
In 2008 Lookout Pass added a Terrain Park to the area. It offers the longest quarter pipe in the nation and much more! In addition, there is a rail park available with a variety of rails for different ability levels.
After a long day on the slopes the best you can do is to relax in the historic lodge. It is the second oldest lodge in the Northwest. Just relax and get some warmth in front of the stove and enjoy a hot beverage or Lookout´s famous chili.
