Here on the Maiskogel, your family mountain, excellently groomed slopes - serviced by snowmaking equipment - are just waiting to be discovered by you. The valley station of the “Panoramabahn Schaufelberg” is situated directly at the centre of Kaprun and offers you a comfortable ride up to the centre of the family skiing area. All chair lifts are equipped with bubbles, so you can enjoy your skiing days in all weather conditions. The Maiskogel cable car is convenient for families with children, as it only takes a few minutes to reach 1,500 meters above sea level.
The practice slope on the drag lift is ideal for all those who are making their first turns on snow. Ambitious ski stars will find everything here their heart could possibly desire. No waiting time in lift queues, a lot of room for fun and exercise in the fresh air and special children`s meals in mountain huts. For curious and brave youngsters the new Maisi-Fantasy park offers more than snow. The little ones can practice on wave courses, curves and child-friendly jumps.

Dreams do come true - Drive a Snow Cat
On Maiskogel Family Mountain, you can take a look behind the scenes and ride across the snow-covered slopes on board a snow cat weighing as much as 11 tons and producing as much as 500 horsepower!
Training slope
Ski clubs, businesses and groups have a permanent training hill available to them.
Winter walking path
Be sure to take advantage of a comfortable ride up on the Maiskogel cable car to 1,500 m above sea level and enjoy the panoramas from the Maiskogel.  A beautiful walking path takes you to the Alpengasthaus Glocknerblick.


ALPINE COASTER MAISIFLITZER (open all year round)

Spine-tingling excitement through and through – the first alpine coaster in the province of Salzburg.
Running on tracks, these two-seaters race towards the valley below at speeds as high as 40 km/h. For added excitement the track features built-in waves, jumps and five loops. If that first adrenaline rush wasn’t enough for you, simply remain seated in the sled and you’ll be towed right back to the top of the course again.
The start and finish of the coaster are located right next to the “Panoramabahn Schaufelberg” in the centre of Kaprun.
