Bigger, Better, Mammoth!
Mammoth Mountain is probably one of the greatest ski resorts in the United States. It offers not less than 1415 hectares of skiable terrain and 150 named trails. Mammoth has plenty of everything you could ask for. Here you get 300 days of sunshine, more than 10 meters of snowfall per year and a 945 meter vertical drop. The best about it is that you can enjoy all this greatness more than half of the year as the season usually runs from November until June - and sometimes even longer! The whole area is open for snowboarders and there are 7 marvelous Terrain Parks. The parks have been named amongst America´s best Terrain Parks eigth times in a row and spread across an area of 36 hectares. 7 parks also means variety. You´ll find a big amount of different features. The parks are for all. Thus, they are designed for different ability levels. The three Pipes also vary in size culminating in the Super Duper Pipe which has Olympic size.
At Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center you have the opportunity to go Nordic Skiing and Snowshoeing. Escape into the quiet winter world and enjoy nature. Wanna explore the secret backcountry of Mammoth? Take a Winter Naturalist Tour or a Explore Mammoth Tour and discover Mammoth from another perspective! However, skiing and snowboarding is not the only winter fun that Mammoth has to offer. You´ll get one of the bets views from the summit. So take a ride with the gondola to the summit and savour the breathtaking views. Mammoth also offers Snowcat and Snowmobiling tours and much more: you can go on sleigh rides, skate on the ice rink or go snow tubing. If you need some relaxation after an exciting day on the mountain you should visit the Spa and treat yourself with a massage. Mammoth also offers a great variety of restaurants and bars to let the day unwind.
