Hochkönig means "High King" and this is the name of the 3000m peak that dominates our region. The "High King Mountain" looks down on the alpine villages of Maria Alm, Hinterthal, Dienten and Mühlbach creating the huge 150km Hochkönig ski area.
Still little is known by the British and American markets the Hochkönig ski area boasts some of the best skiing in Austria with 36 ski lifts and an amazing 37 mountain restaurants.

This is the new “King” of ski tours offering ultimate skiing enjoyment and one of the longest ski routes in the Alps.
With the 6-seater Bürglalm chairlift and Dienten’s modern ski centre, the Hochkönig lift company has managed to make a skiers dream come true: uninterrupted enjoyment of the richly varied slopes of the Hochkönig Ski Region.
