The Hochkönig Ski Area welcomes you to enjoy our winter kingdom

Hochkönig means "High King" and this is the name of the 3000m peak that dominates our region. The "High King Mountain" looks down on the alpine villages of Maria Alm, Hinterthal, Dienten and Mühlbach creating the huge 150km Hochkönig ski area.

Still little is known by the British and American markets the Hochkönig ski area boasts some of the best skiing in Austria with 36 ski lifts and an amazing 37 mountain restaurants.
The ski area in the Hochkönig region is one of the Alps’ most beautiful ski regions – ideal for a winter vacation with an atmosphere that simply can’t be matched.

The Hochkönig’s broad ski areas are distinguished by family-friendly amenities and specials, as well as by exceptional snow conditions. Magical fairy-tale slopes and the authentic character invite you to enjoy a truly laid-back ski vacation. Awaiting you are 34 cable cars and lifts, plus 150 km of slopes at elevations ranging from 860 to 1900 meters above sea level.
