Mt Cain- best back country skiing in the region!
Mount Cain is an organization run by a volunteer board that strives to offer affordable winter sports fun for winter sports enthusiasts. It is a family run, non-profit organization. The resort is located on the north end off Vancouver Island and besides regular downhill skiing it offers great back country skiing ( including avalanche guidelines). 21 runs of various ability levels, some groomed some left to provide ultimate powder fun! Since Mount Cain is only open 4 days a week, that leaves 3 days for wonderful fresh snow to accumulate!Of any coastal mountain in the region it has the second highest elevation after Whistler. The terrain is exciting and diverse and besides skiing you can enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing and much more. After skiing there are 3 après ski bars to chose from, each and one of them is a lot of fun!
