The Ski Resort
Mount Cain is an organization run by a volunteer board that strives to offer affordable winter sports fun for winter sports enthusiasts. It is a family run, non-profit organization. The ski hill is located on the north end of Vancouver Island and besides regular downhill skiing it offers great back country skiing, snow shoeing and occasionally pond hockey. Twenty two runs of various ability levels, some groomed and some left to provide ultimate powder fun! Since Mount Cain is only open 2-3 days a week, which leaves 4 days for wonderful fresh snow to accumulate! Of any coastal mountain in the region it has the second highest elevation after Whistler. The terrain is exciting and diverse. After skiing there is a cozy, wood stove heated day lodge that is a lot of fun!
