SKI RESORT

Patscherkofel is pretty much Innsbruck´s ´own´ mountain. Those, who are new to the world of skiing and riding are going to be satisfied with 10 kilometers of blues and 8 kilometers of reds. The red trails feature one or another challenge so that intermediate skiers feel comfortable as well. Thanks to the manageable size and the missing blacks it´s a great resort for families.

Little ones can find their ski legs on gentle slopes and the learning area makes it even more fun. Various altitudes turn the learning area to a place for everyone. Professional ski instructor help kids and beginners to get comfortable on the trails and improve their skills fast.

If you feel safe enough to leave the learning area, look for the four runs that are designated as blue. The family run starts at the Patscherkofelbahn top station and is also the longest run at Patscherkofel. The practice slope is serviced by the practice lift Patscherkofel. On the wide-open slope you´ll improve your abilities in a wink of an eye.

Snowboarder and freestyle skiers meet in the Snowpark Innsbruck 3.0. As you leave the panorama quad chair on 2150 meters above sea level, you´ll already see the park with all of its freestyle elements. The upper park terrain welcomes with the Xdouble Chill hut, that invites to relax, recharge and enjoy the winter sun. There´s never a shortage of great events, cool sounds and tasty BBQ´s.

Mountain huts and restaurants
Six mountain restaurants and huts await hungry skiers and boarders at Patscherkofel.

The Patscherkopfel Gipfelstube guarantees a great panorama due to being the highest restaurant in the resort. The food is also not left short and you´ll definitely get more than the typical mountain fare.
When you take the blue family run you´ll end up at the Alpengasthof Heiligwasser where you get to enjoy laid-back but fantastic cuisine plus an extended wine list.

Tee Hütt´n is also really close. Gather your friends and family around and try mulled wine, Jagatea or punch.

Trails, you shouldn´t miss
Even after lift closing times you can ski down to Igls. Take the Ziehweg, starting from OLEX.
The longest downhill run is the 6 kilometer long family run. It starts at the top station of the Patscherkofel lift. You even have to overcome a height difference of 1060 meters (3 477 ft) on your way down to the base.

AFTER SKIING

Innsbruck is known for having a huge variety of winter sport activities away from skiing. Toboggan runs and ice rinks welcome for a few thrilling rides or pirouettes on the ice.

If you want to explore the surroundings, check out the high-altitude hiking track. Start your tour from Schutzhaus Patscherkofel and hike for 1,5 hours to the peak. Up here, sit down, enjoy a cold beverage and take joy in the breathtaking views of the snow-covered alps.

You always wanted to design your own ski or snowboard? You can book a workshop at the Innbruck´s company SPURart. You don´t need any comprehensive manual skills for participating.
