SKI RESORT

The Reuttener Seilbahnen (trams) give access to the ski resort Hahnenkamm. With 15 kilometers (four blues, nine kilometers of intermediate trails and two kilometers pure expert terrain) and a size of 50 ha is the ski resort considered to be ideal for families. It separates into a high-altitude ski resort at Hahnenkamm and the much smaller resort Schollwiese. The last-mentioned features some beginner terrain where you can learn fast and build up some confidence quick. About 30 ha are pretty snow sure thanks to the snow making facilities. With help of five lifts you can actually get up to a height of 1900 meters (6233 feet) above sea level and off you go on the pleasurable runs at Hahnenkamm.

Beginners may attend skiing and snowboarding lessons at the local ski school to expand on their abilities. You will always be attended by specially instructors who will do everything to make your learning experience a pleasant and memorable one.

The nature park region Reutte is welcoming for all cross-country ski fans and features 120 kilometers (74,5 miles) of well-prepared trails. 90 kilometers (56 miles) are classic prepared and 30 kilometers (18,6 miles) are prepared for skating. Along your way you will get to see beautiful frozen lakes and snowy meadows as far as the eye can see. Close to Waldrast you´ll find a lighted cross-country ski run.

If you want to go on a tour grab a lift and get up the Hahnenkamm every Tuesday from 6 to 10 pm.

Mountain huts and restaurants
When time has come for a break you can choose between two different restaurants that will cater right to your appetite: The panorama restaurant Hahnenkamm right next to top station offers a great view of the surrounding mountain world. In addition to yummy food you can use the Wi-Fi that is totally free of charge. ´Step out of your bed and be right on the ski trail´- every skier´s dream comes true when you sleep at Singer Hütte at Hahnenkamm. They will also take good care of you food-wise.

AFTER SKIING

Even when the skiing day comes to an end it never gets boring here. Ice-skating, tobogganing and snow shoe hikes through the winter landscape make your time away from the trails enjoyable. Altogether boasts Reutte including the surrounding towns more than 70 kilometers (43,4 miles) of winter hiking tracks that wait for you to be explored. If you are more of a romantic person, enjoy wrapped up in thick blankets, a horse sleigh ride through the snowy forests. After an exhausting ski day is a the Alp thermal bath Ehrenberg in Reutte the right address to find the perfect source of relaxation.

Apres-ski and bars
Ramba Zamba Express has a reputation for good nightlife. It´s right at the base station of the Reuttener Seilbahnen (tram). The umbrella bar Almrausch in front of the mountain hut Singer Hütte at Hahnenkamm invites you to sample their great drinks and awesome music.
