At the foot of mount Breitenberg, in Pfronten-Steinach, you can enjoy the winter from its most beautiful side in the 30 hectare ski area. Even on wonderful winter days there are hardly any waiting times here, because the ski area is less known and less crowded next to the larger Breitenberg lift. But it has a lot to offer: A total of six T-bar lifts provide access to the various slopes, which guarantee skiing fun of all levels of difficulty. The 1.2 kilometre long, red-black marked Heuriesel run and the almost 2 kilometre former FIS World Cup run are ideal for experienced skiers.

If you are not yet quite sure of your skis, it is better to try one of the less demanding pistes first. The whole family will have fun on the medium-difficult runs on the family lift and the mini-lift runs, which are classified as easy, even on days with little snow. Because here, environmentally friendly snow-making systems guarantee carefree winter sports fun. For all those who want to try their hand at snowboarding for the first time, there is even a separate snowboard practice lift.

If the six different pistes are not enough for you, there is also a separate ski path leading directly to the neighbouring ski area Breitenberg-Hochalpe. For those who still haven't had enough of skiing at the end of the day, there is also the possibility of night skiing. Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday the most beautiful and longest floodlight system in the Allgäu illuminates the slopes at the family and standard lift and provides a unique skiing experience.

Pfronten is well prepared for winter sports lovers in terms of infrastructure, so there are numerous ski and snowboard rentals and two ski schools directly in the village. Furthermore, the area belongs to the ski association "Vitales Land", which covers several ski areas in the Allgäu and neighbouring Tyrol. With the KönigsCard you can even ski for free in the whole area - from two nights' stay three hours of fun on the slopes in the Allgäu are included!
