Sportgastein is the highest ski area in Gastein Valley. Due to an elevation up to 2700 meters above sea level and extensive snowmaking capabilities reliable snowconditions are guaranteed from late november until the end of april. Espacially for freeriders and experienced skiers and snowboarders Sportgastein offers numerous opportunities to challenge their skills, like the three golden off-piste runs.

Altogether there are four ski areas in Gastein Valley providing 60 km easy, 117 km intermediate and 24 km difficult slopes, including family-style hills, carving hills, deep-snow and moguls runs, all just waiting to be conquered by you. You can look forward to descents down perfectly groomed and variety-packed hills! Choose between the ski alliances of Stubnerkogel-Angertal-Schlossalm and Dorfgastein-Großarl, which awaits you with permanent race hill, the World Championship-calibre Graukogel with its long and challenging runs, and the high-alpine Sportgastein, which is a paradise for freeriders.

From winter 2021/2022 there will also be a ski school in Sportgastein with its own beginners' practice area, the "Family Park GO!".
