The Balsams Wilderness Ski Area: Discover Serenity!
The Balsams Wilderness Ski Area is located in the northern tip of New Hampshire and belongs to The Balsams which is an old-style grand hotel. Enter the winter wonderland of Balsams and spend a memorable winter holiday! Balsams Wilderness Ski Area features 16 trails on a terrain of 35 hectares. The difficulty of the trails varies. However, the majority are intermediate cruisers. In addition, there are five gladed areas and a terrain park with great features. A snowmaking system ensures you will always find best snowconditions. It is capable of blanketing 80% of the entire area so you´ll always have a pleasurable skiing experience when visiting The Balsams. The Ski Learning Center offer lessons for beginners. It is the Center´s philosophy to put an emphasis on fun and safety and you will be instructed by experienced staff. The Balsams´ typically uncrowded trails provide best conditions for learners. You can choose from private and group lessons for both skiing and snowboarding. The Balsams´ serene landscapes are also a great place for Nordic skiers. Snow Country Magazine has even refered to The Balsams Wilderness Ski Area as "one of the top cross country ski resorts in North America". It offers 95 km of trails of which 85 km are tracked and groomed. Here even beginners can ski long distances as one third of the trails are beginner trails. Explore forests and meadows and pass lakes and secret stashes!
