Vail: Experience True Greatness!

Vail is a world-class resort. In fact, it is the resort par excellence! With 2140 hectares of terrain it is the largest ski resort in the United States. There are three distinct areas of the mountain including 7 backbowls that span almost 10 km and offer unlimited powder fun! Vail makes a powderhound´s dreams come true. Finding fresh tracks is easy at Vail! On an average day there are only 2 skiers per acre. Once you´ve been in Vail your understanding of wide open bowls will be redefined! In addition, over 600 hectares of the terrain are groomed which makes it the largest groomed area worldwide! There are 193 conventional trails waiting to be explored. The longest of them is "Riva" boasting 6,4 km. Undoubtedly, Vail will keep you busy for days and everyone will find plenty enjoyable trails for their particular skill level. Most beginner trails are located on the front side of the mountain. Take some lessons, refine your skills and enjoy the mountain even more! Just like the entire mountain Vail´s Ski & Snowobard School is one of the best worldwide. Experienced staff will help you to achieve your personal goals. There are plenty of programs for children, adults and individuals with disabilities available, each tailored for the respective group´s needs. In addition, the Nordic center offers XC and Telemark programs. Yet, that´s still not all. Vail offers numerous exciting activities such as the Adventure Sessions that give you the opportunity to the explore the mountain with a mountain guide, the Life on the Wildside Program at which children can learn a lot about the wild animals at Vail, Moonlight Snowshoe Tours or Tubing at Adventure Ridge. In addition, there are 3 terrain parks available boasting great features from rails and jumps to wall rides, jibs and even a superpipe and a halfpipe. The features vary in size so park riders of all ability levels can enjoy the parks. Yet, Vail is not only breathtaking on the mountain but also down in the valley! It is popular for its numerous high-class restaurants and hotels. Moreover, there are several Spas available where you can relax your muscles after an adventurous day on the mountain!
