Ski area and hiking resort
Situated above the village of Prämajur lies the mountain Watles. Watles counts among Val Venosta´s most popular ski resorts and offers great fun for the whole family. The well groomed slopes are suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. There are 6 kilometers of blue slopes and 12 kilometers of red slopes at Watles ski resort. Modern lift facilities guarantee skiing fun without unnerving waiting times. The spacious terrace of the lodge Plantapatschhütte makes you want to stop by for a break. There, you´re served soft drinks, hot beverages as well as sweet and hearty meals. Both from the terrace and from the slopes you´ll have a terrific view on the glaciers of the Stubai and Ötztal Alps in Austria. If you prefer a cozier place to relax, check out the new skiing lodge Höferalm. Cross-country skiers mostly go to the cross-country ski centre in Schlinig by the free shuttle servcie. There, they can explore more than 15 kilometers of finest cross-country ski tracks.
