Austria is the country with most ski resorts in Europe. Hence of course provides a huge amount of variety in alpine skiing and winter sports. Salzburg, Tyrol and Styria are the provinces with the highest density of winter sports regions. But alpine skiing is also possible in Carinthia, Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Vorarlberg.
