Fieschertal is located a the foot of the Fiescher glacier on the end of the valley. Fieschertal was only accesible by foot from out Fiesch in the sixties. Because of the history of Fieschertal a poetry says: all valleys sounds, all valleys sings, but not Fieschertal. A lot of families are inhabiters of Fieschertal, however they often live outside the village or are on journey. Fieschertal is one of the biggest municipalities of Switzerland with 17.295 hectare of which 15.966 hectare belongs to the world inheritage. The area of the municipality goes through the nord to the Jungfraujoch.
