Families can also spend a nice time at „Andermatt“!

Families with children will surely enjoy themselves at „Andermatt“. With 6 easy trais and 3 inermediate red runs the area around "Andermatt- Village" certainly has something to offer for everyone. The resort is well structured and apart from kids friendly runs, features enough diverse terrain to keep also winter-sports experienced family members entertained. The youngest skiers and riders should keep to the easy runs at the „Gurschelalp“ (2015m) and the trails from the „Gütsch“ (2344m) down to „Nätschen“ (1842m). Parents skiing with youngsters who are in search of more adventurous grounds the intermediate terrain (red)from the „Gütsch“ as well as the red „St. Anna Gletscher“ run down from the „Gemsstock“(2963m) is recommendable. Category black runs at the resort (e.g. the „B-Russi“ run) as well as the partly very steep and narrow category black base area descent should be avoided. At the base area of the 2-passenger chair lift from „Andermatt“ up to „Nätschen“ you’ll find a small kids park. A broader range of "kids-facilities" would certainly upgrade the resort. The local ski schools however are worthy of praise and offer fun programmes for young and old! Parents in need of some quality time alone can dropp off their kids at the „Schweizer Schneesportschule Andermatt“ at 9:45 a.m. and pick them up again at 3:00 p.m. The toboggan run from „Nätschen“ down to „Andermatt“, equipped with fairy tale figures, offer a nice alternative to skiing.
