77 km of challenging red slopes inspire advanced skiers

Bad Kleinkirchheim is one of the best ski resorts in Carinthia for experienced skiers. 77 kilometers of red slopes, which are challenging throughout, make the hearts of ambitious skiers beat faster. If you are in the mood for natural snow, you should stay around the area at Hirschsprung- and Muldenlift. This is also where you'll find a special treat in the form of ski route number 6: from the top station of the Hirschsprung lift to the base station of the Kaiserburg gondola, you'll have to tackle 918 vertical meters on 4.8 kilometers of slopes.

We particularly liked slopes 1 and 7 around the Kaiserburgbahn, slope 11 at the Maibrunnbahn and the slopes around the Brunnach gondola. In addition, it is worth mentioning that almost all red runs have similar difficulty, so you can't make a mistake when choosing a sub-area. It is best to simply go to Bad Kleinkirchheim for several days and try out each area. Those who have grown tired of the red slopes and are looking for more of a challenge should try the black Franz Klammer World Cup run. Although about half of the lifts are drag lifts, most of the slopes are easily accessible via the gondola and chair lifts. The gondola lifts go directly to the top from all towns in the valley. Therefore, it is also possible to get over the fact that some of the chairlifts are a bit outdated.
