    St. Johann – family fun!

St. Johann is without doubt a recommendable destination for families. The ski-kindergarten (for children who are at least 3 years old) or the guest-kindergarten (for children from 0 to 4 years old) provide excellent care for the youngsters. The numerous tow lifts at the bases Eichenhof, Baumoos and Penzing are ideal practicing grounds for the little ones while parents can enjoy the 25 km of easy, 28 km of intermediate and the 7 km of difficult slopes. Families who like to spend the days on the slopes together can take their offspring once first steps on skis or board are mastered to the gentle trails 1c, 2a and 3b which can be reached from the mountain station of the Harschbichl 1 lift. If the children are left in the care of a ski instructor mum and dad can test their skills on the challenging grounds in Penzing.

And if the legs haven’t given in on a day of slopes the 2,4 km long floodlit toboggan trail is open till midnight! Further toboggan trails can be found in Oberndorf, Kirchdorf and Epfendorf. Action hungry families are provided with night skiing options on the 1,2 km long Rueppenhang on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
